|
|
Good afternoon,
I've created a form and have attached it in an html email to send out. The form is being hosted by mycontactform.com. (http://www.mycontactform.com/hosted/form.php?formid=244498 )
However when I submit the form, this error shows up:
This form is not being sent from the url where it is supposed to be located. If you are the owner of this form you need to ensure that the 'Form Location' is specified as mail.google.com/mail. To change this, login to the site, click 'edit' next to the form's name, and then click the 'Basic Information' link to change the form's location.
Please help. Thanks |

It appears that you are trying to send this form somehow from within an email message?
Opening up the hosted URL of the form within a web browser and submitting it works fine. This is the only method in which the hosted for can work. It is not possible to simply copy and paste the form code into an email, send it out, and expect this to work. This is not what the forms were designed for and not a means in which they can function.
If you want to send the form out in an email, you need to simply send a link to the form within the email which must be clicked to open the form within an individual web browser.

I'm not trying to simply cut and paste the code into an email. I have created an html in dreamweaver and cut and paste the code into that.
I have seen it work before (through mycontactform) so why cant it work now? |

Going directly to the hosted URL within a web browser seems to work fine. How are you submitting the form? Are you using the hosted form? Are you adding the code to a different web page? Please give clearer directions on exactly how you're accessing the form. Please note that if you are hosting the form yourself, you must use the code from the 'Get HTML' page. You also must upload the code and properly configure the 'Form Location'.
