My forms have recently been regularly invaded by spammers. I get at least 8 submissions a day from one form, all filled with spam crap. How can I prevent this from happening? On other forms around the internet, I've noticed they use an image with letters and numbers on it that people have to type in correctly. Is this something my ContactForm.com is considering adding to their forms? |

Currently you may block the sender's IP address, and limit the rate at which a user can submit the form (these options are under the 'Form Security' button). In the near future we will be enabling keyword filtering for the content of the forms. Unfortunately, since the forms do not reside on our server, the confirmation box that you are suggesting would be difficult (and most likely impossible) for us to implement. I will look into this for the next upgrade.
Sincerely,
Nick Ladd

Thank you.
Is it possible to allow the user (me) to type in a code when creating the form and then the submitter would have to type in that same code in order to submit? Or is that a problem, too?
Thanks for your help! |

It is not possible with our current setup.

Actually, MyContactForm.com does have image verification now. And it's very helpful.
