My clients are always having trouble submitting the form and getting an error on the url. I have copy and pasted the suggested url and that will give and error every time it is submitted. The one that I currently have works sometimes but a lot of the time gives an error message.

Good Day,

You can disable this feature but leaving the setting blank in the configuration.

I too was having this issue all of a sudden. The form worked perfectly up until the last day or two.

Removing the link entirely resolved this issue however, I'd like to know the cause of the form to suddenly generate this error.

It is unclear on our end what is causing the error. It is potentially caused by a change in how the form headers are sent from the hosting website to the web browser causing the error.

HI,
Suddenly my customers started getting a error page. I rebuilt the form adding CAPTCHA and it works for some? Totally confused! It works for me and my husband on both cell phones, laptop, and computer. However one new customer and three long time customers who have filled out the form many times now get a error page.
One customer screenshot the error which said, "this form is not being sent from the url where it is supposed to be located If you are the owner of this form you need to ensure that the form location is specified as heavenlydogs.com/registrtion.html To change this, login to the site click edit next to the form's name and then click the basic form information link to change the form's location Currently you have the form location specified as http://www.heavenlydogs.com
I changed it and got a error to change it back LOL!
I don't understand why it works for some. I've asked them to refreash page which did not work.
I read above to leave that area blank?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you

Suddenly my form no longer works. Error:
This form is not being sent from the url where it is supposed to be located. If you are the owner of this form you need to ensure that the 'Form Location' is specified as pbxmechanic.com. To change this, login to the site, click 'edit' next to the form's name, and then click the 'Basic Information' link to change the form's location. Currently you have the 'Form Location' specified as:
https://www.pbxmechanic.com/pbxmechanic-contact.html
https://www.pbxmechanic.com/*

I added the /* and also tried without any URL, but it would not allow me to do that. The URL that the form is located on is:
https://www.pbxmechanic.com/pbxmechanic-contact.html

Try adding just "pbxmechanic.com" to the setting or leaving it blank.

Upon using pbxmechanic.com the configuration does not allow me to change it to that and gives me an error:
ERROR! There is a problem with your referring page. It is located on an insecure (http://) server. Under the Form Security panel you configured the form so that it would be sent securely via SSL encryption. In order for this to work properly, the form must reside on a secure (https://) location on your server. An example of a secure location on your server would be https://www.mydomain.com/myform.html.

Likewise, when I tried earlier to leave it blank it gave me the same error. Additionally, two other sites that I own, both of which are on different hosting companies show the same error "form is not being sent from the url error".

If you are putting the site on an SSL encrypted server (https://) then you need to also enable SSL for the form. This can be completed under the Form Security / Anti-SPAM section of the control panel.

This is exactly my problem too. Can anyone tell me exactly how I remove the link. Using Dreamweaver. Thanks

My clients are screaming about getting form location error messages when submitting forms on my site. This has been an ongoing problem for weeks. It seems like it's fixed and then it starts screwing up again!

Even the form on the contact page for the "mycontactform" website generates an error when I hit submit!!

"The owner this form has exceeded their quota for form submittals for November"

Since I couldn't use the mycontactform submission form here to make a request, due to the above error, I sent an email - my second one this week. I have yet to receive a response to my first email requesting a refund on my pre-payment for Premium membership renewal because of all these errors.

Good Afternoon,

The form location error can be solved by either entering all permutations of the URL into the form location setting, or by leaving it blank.

A refund has been issued.

Same issue. Constantly. I can't continue to baby-sit this forms thing - I'm gong to have to find a new forms company. And you can't just email someone for support either. Frustrating but I'm done.

I keep getting the following error, if I change the URL in the form to just https://playawifi.com it works, but that URL appears in the email the user receives and if clicked, goes to the wrong website (should send the user to https://playawifi.com/suitesczm.htm)

This form is not being sent from the url where it is supposed to be located. If you are the owner of this form you need to ensure that the 'Form Location' is specified as playawifi.com. To change this, login to the site, click 'edit' next to the form's name, and then click the 'Basic Information' link to change the form's location. Currently you have the 'Form Location' specified as:
https://playawifi.com/suitesczm.htm

I do have this form enabled for SSL in the form security section. If I disable this and remove the https the form works but shows many warnings that it is not secure.
