I just started using myContactForm on my websites. One of my websites has a subdirectory in caps... i.e. www.xxx/LDJ/xxx.htm . 1) When I type in the proper url of my form location using the LDJ in caps, your website converts it to lower case... preventing the form from being found!! Changing my subdirectory to lower case would be VERY tedious, involving menu changes, etc. Why isn't this user-friendly for using subdirectories that are in caps? 2) Of my initial 10 submissions in this month, about 4 of them were duplicate submissions. Just today, I received 3 emails with the exact same information concerning a client inquiry using the form. So, instead of using only one of my 20 quota allowances for the month, the system used 3... and, the client's request for my availability for services ended with my NOT being available. So, 3 submissions used, rather than only 1, with negative results. Why can't the code be written to disallow multiple submissions, if in fact, the user was to blame? Please respond... |

1. Don't worry about the case for the Form Location. It will work either way. We consistently store all URLs in lower case in our database. We do the same when pulling the URL where the form is submitted for comparison. In other words, we only compare characters in the URLs, not case.
2. Multiple submissions only happen when the submit button is clicked multiple times. You can limit the number of times any individual can submit a form using the measures found under the 'Form Security / Anti-SPAM' portion of the control panel.

Thanks for the prompt and very helpful response, Nick... the "allow only one submission in 5 minutes" should work for me. As far as the caps vs lower case subdirectory location, I got impatient and changed the file location on my second website to a lower case area... so, all is working and all is well |
