I have rec. several complaints when filling out forms that if a required field is missed when filling a form out, upon going back to the form, all information is erased and the user has to start over. Is there a way to keep data in the form fields to prevent data from being erased if a person has to go back and enter missing information?
Thanks. |

All data is retained so long as the user is using either the back button on the browser, or the link to go back on the error page. This is the standard behavior for all current internet browsers.
There may be one or two situations which would result in this from using a non-standard configuration on your web server, but I doubt this is the case.

I've tested your form in both Internet Explorer and Firefox, and the information was retained as it should. There must be an issue with how these individuals have their web browsers configured, or they are using an extremely old web browser. It is most likely a security setting in their browsers telling it not to retain this information.
