When using IE7, myContactForm doesn't retain it's auto-resize functionality. As you can see at http://www.behemoth.ca/contact.html, the functionality has been disabled. Sadly not being a strong php coder, I cannot determine the cause or solution. Any recommendations are welcome, thanks in advance.

Edit: Also, the link to myContactForm.com does not display at all, from what I can see, though it does with firefox.

Thank you for your post. I've installed IE7, and it appears that they have changed the way in which they render 100% width tables within forms using CSS. I am going to fix this problem for our next update (end of November). In the mean time, you should be able to get this to work by changing your code to the following:

Code:

<!-- Begin myContactForm.com Form HTML -->
<form name="contactForm" method="post" action="http://www.mycontactform.com/sendform/sendform.php">
<input name="user" type="hidden" id="user" value="brandonshelley"><input name="formid" type="hidden" id="formid" value="80032">
<table width="100%" border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" bordercolor="#000000" bgcolor="#ebe1c4"><tr><td>
<table width="100%" border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="2">
<tr bgcolor=""><td><font color="#504e42" size="2" face="Verdana">Name<font color="#FF0000"> *</font></font></td><td><font color="#504e42" size="2" face="Verdana"><input name="q[1]" type="text" id="q[1]" value="" size="20" maxlength="90"></font></td></tr>

<tr><td><font color="#504e42" size="2" face="Verdana"> Subject:<font color="#FF0000"> *</font></font></td><td><select name="subject" id="subject"><option value="Website Malfunction">Website Malfunction</option><option value="Link Request">Link Request</option><option value="Suggestion">Suggestion</option><option value="General Question">General Question</option><option value="Other">Other</option></select></td></tr><tr><td><font color="#504e42" size="2" face="Verdana"> E-mail Address:<font color="#FF0000"> *</font></font></td><td><input name="email" type="text" id="email" size="20" maxlength="100"></td></tr><tr bgcolor=""><td><font color="#504e42" size="2" face="Verdana">Location</font></td><td><font color="#504e42" size="2" face="Verdana"><input name="q[2]" type="text" id="q[2]" value="" size="20" maxlength="90"></font></td></tr>
<tr bgcolor=""><td><font color="#504e42" size="2" face="Verdana">Website</font></td><td><font color="#504e42" size="2" face="Verdana"><input name="q[3]" type="text" id="q[3]" value="" size="20" maxlength="90"></font></td></tr>

<tr bgcolor=""><td><font color="#504e42" size="2" face="Verdana">Comments<font color="#FF0000"> *</font></font></td><td><font color="#504e42" size="2" face="Verdana"><textarea name="q[4]" cols="20" rows="5"></textarea></font></td></tr>
<tr><td colspan="2"><hr size="1"></td></tr>
<tr><td colspan="2"><input name="submit" type="submit"value="Submit"> <input name="reset" type="reset" value="Reset"> </td></tr>
<tr><td><font color="#FF0000" size="1" face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"><b>*</b></font> <font size="1" face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">Required</font></td><td align="right"><font size="1" face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"><a href="http://www.mycontactform.com" target="_blank">Powered by <strong>myContactForm.com</strong></a></font></td></tr>
</table></td></tr></table></form>
<!-- End myContactForm.com Form HTML -->

Unfortunately, using the above code will remove any of the special formatting you have for the form.

Sincerely,

Nick Ladd

Worked like a charm. Just copied the <style></style> data from the old to the new, and the formatting copied correctly. The class="fieldstyle" and whatever else you fixed, worked correctly. You can see the updated version at http://www.behemoth.ca/contact.html

Thanks a lot,

Brandon

Hi

I have a related problem. When I open my page in Firefox the form looks great but when I use IE or Safari, the form looks weird. You can see it at http://yzfellowships.com/Contact.html

Another thing, can I make the email and subject fields not required?

Thanx

Hmmm, it seems to look fine to me under IE7.

The email field is mandatory, but the subject field can be changed so that the forms have a static subject that doesn't require sender input. This can be changed by:

1. Login to myContactForm.com
2. Click [edit]
3. Click E-mail Subject
4. Select option 1. Specify a fixed subject that will be used for this contact form.
