When I created the code for my "mailing list" form I didn't want the "subject" or "comments" fields to be required (i DID NOT SELECT THE BOX) but the wizard put it in anyway. How can I fix this code so those two fields are free of the required request?? I have tried REMAKING each question and tried via the EDIT>FORM QUESTION but neither is working! Code below:

<!-- Begin myContactForm.com Form HTML -->
<form name="contactForm" method="post" action="http://www.mycontactform.com/sendform/sendform.php">
<input name="user" type="hidden" id="user" value="ecmichele" /><input name="formid" type="hidden" id="formid" value="314290" />
<table width="100%" style="border: 0px solid #FFFFFF; margin: 0; padding: 0; background-color: #FFFFFF;"><tr><td>
<table width="100%" border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="5">
<tr><td><font color="#808080" size="2" face="Courier"> E-mail Address:<font color="#FF0000"> *</font></font></td><td><input name="email" type="text" id="email" size="20" maxlength="100" /></td></tr><tr bgcolor=""><td><font color="#808080" size="2" face="Courier">name<font color="#FF0000"> *</font></font></td><td><font color="#808080" size="2" face="Courier"><input name="q[1]" type="text" value="" size="10" maxlength="" /></font></td></tr>
<tr bgcolor=""><td><font color="#808080" size="2" face="Courier"> Subject:<font color="#FF0000"> *</font></font></td><td><input name="subject" type="text" id="subject" size="20" maxlength="100" /></td></tr><tr bgcolor=""><td><font color="#808080" size="2" face="Courier">comments</font></td><td><font color="#808080" size="2" face="Courier"><textarea name="q[3]" cols="10" rows="5" ></textarea></font></td></tr>
<tr><td colspan="2"><hr size="1" /></td></tr>
<tr><td colspan="2"><input name="submit" type="submit" value="Submit" /> </td></tr>
<tr><td><font color="#FF0000" size="1" face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"><b>*</b></font> <font size="1" face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">Required</font></td><td align="right"></td></tr>
</table></td></tr></table></form>

The subject is required on all forms unless you choose Option #1: "Specify a fixed subject that will be used for this contact form.".

The comments field can be made optional under Edit > Form Questions
